Every person is unique, and so is the support they need. That’s why I take a flexible, integrative approach to counselling, combining different methods to create a way of working that’s tailored specifically to you. Whether you’re navigating current challenges, understanding patterns in your life, or simply seeking a safe space to feel heard, our sessions will adapt to meet your needs.
A Safe and Welcoming Space
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, especially if you’re unsure what to expect. When you join a session, you’ll find a calm, supportive environment where you can feel at ease. There’s no pressure or judgment, just a space where you’re free to share whatever feels important to you.
A Conversation, Not an Interrogation
Our sessions will feel like a conversation. You set the pace, and I’ll guide gently where needed. You’re in control of what you share, and there’s no expectation to have all the answers right away. My role is to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and help you reflect on your thoughts and feelings so you can gain clarity and understanding.
Reflecting on Your Journey
Together, we’ll explore your experiences and how they might be shaping your life today. Some sessions might focus on what’s happening in your life right now, while others may look at how past events are influencing the way you feel and respond to things. This process can help us untangle challenges and discover meaningful ways forward.
A Collaborative Process
Counselling isn’t about being told what to do, it’s about working together to understand what’s going on and finding what feels right for you. Whether it’s gaining new perspectives, building coping skills, or simply having a space to feel heard, we’ll move at a pace that’s comfortable for you.
The First Session
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll discuss what brings you to counselling, what you hope to gain, and any questions you might have. It’s an opportunity to see if we’re a good fit and to set the foundation for our work together.
How You Might Feel
It’s normal to feel a mix of emotions during or after a session. These feelings are all part of the process, and I’ll be here to support you through each step of your journey.
