ONLINE COUNSELLING ACROSS THE UK

Supporting you to build healthier relationships with others and yourself

FAQs

What issues can I talk about in counselling?

You can bring anything that feels important to you. I work with individuals and couples experiencing relationship difficulties, communication problems, conflict, anxiety within relationships, low self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, separation, divorce, grief, and challenges with boundaries or connection.

You do not need to be in a crisis or have a clear “problem” to benefit from counselling. Sometimes therapy is simply a space to reflect, process emotions, and better understand yourself and your relationships.

How many sessions will I need?

Every person and relationship is different. Some clients find a few sessions helpful for gaining clarity around a specific issue, while others prefer longer-term support to explore deeper relationship patterns and emotional experiences.

We will regularly review how things are going to ensure therapy feels helpful and supportive for you.

What days and times do you offer sessions?

I aim to offer flexible online counselling appointments, including some evenings and weekends where possible. We can discuss current availability during your free consultation or when you get in touch.

Do you offer online counselling?

Yes, all counselling sessions take place online via Microsoft Teams.

Online counselling allows me to work with individuals and couples across the UK and can offer greater flexibility, comfort, and accessibility.

Many clients find online therapy just as effective as in-person counselling.

What happens in the free consultation?

I offer a free 15-minute online consultation where you can briefly talk about what has brought you to counselling, ask any questions, and get a sense of how I work. There is no pressure or obligation to book ongoing sessions.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin exploring what has brought you to counselling. We may discuss your current difficulties, relationship patterns, emotional wellbeing, and what you hope to gain from therapy. We will also go through practical information such as confidentiality and how we will work together.

What if I’m not sure how to start?

That is completely normal. You do not need to know exactly what to say or have everything figured out before starting counselling. We can begin wherever feels most comfortable for you, and move at a pace that feels manageable.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

I understand that circumstances can change. If you need to cancel or rearrange a session, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.

What qualifications do you have?

I am a qualified counsellor with CPCAB qualifications in therapeutic and relational counselling, including a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a Level 5 Certificate in Relational Counselling. Alongside private practice, I have experience working within charitable counselling services, supporting individuals and couples experiencing a range of relationship and emotional difficulties. I take an integrative approach to counselling, tailoring therapy to each individual person and relationship.
